I just wanted to share the fond memories that I have of Arlene and Bud. I am Martha Sommer, widow of Bud's brother, Vincent. Vince died in 2006. Arlene and Bud were Good People. They were very close to all 8 of their children. Arlene and Bud visited Vince every couple weeks in our home in Vandalia and later when he had to go into long term care the last few months of his life. I appreciated them so much and they could always bring a smile to Vince's face. In our younger years Arlene was always so good to plan a Christmas gathering for the brothers and sisters. We would have lunch out someplace different each year and then always went back to Bud & Arlene's for homemade Christmas cookies and peppermint ice cream. I send my deepest Sympathy!
